UPDATED WEATHER SUMMARY FOR SOUTHERN ONTARIO AND THE  
NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION ISSUED BY ENVIRONMENT CANADA  
AT 5:53 P.M. EST SUNDAY 22 NOVEMBER 2015.  
 
A LOW FROM TEXAS BROUGHT THE FIRST SIGNIFICANT GENERAL SNOWFALL TO A  
LARGE PART OF SOUTHERN ONTARIO SATURDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHT. MANY  
FOLKS WOKE UP TO A WHITE WINTER WONDERLAND THIS MORNING AS A RESULT.  
THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF SOUTHWESTERN AND CENTRAL ONTARIO,  
PARTICULARLY THE DUNDALK HIGHLANDS, RECEIVED THE MOST SNOW.  
 
THE LAKE EFFECT SNOW MACHINE ALSO KICKED IN TODAY, WITH SUDDEN  
BRIEF LOW TO NIL VISIBILITY AND A QUICK 2 TO 5 CM IN BURSTS OF HEAVY  
SNOW REPORTED IN A FEW LOCALES. AN ADDITIONAL 21 CM OF SNOW WAS  
REPORTED FROM SEVERAL LAKE EFFECT SNOW BURSTS TODAY AT COLDWATER,  
WITH APPROXIMATELY 20 CM REPORTED IN NEARBY ORILLIA.  
 
MEASURED SNOWFALL AMOUNT (UNLESS NOTED AS ESTIMATE) DATA RECEIVED BY  
ENVIRONMENT CANADA AS OF 6 PM FROM THE TEXAS LOW SNOWSTORM ARE FOUND  
IN THE TABLE BELOW.
