==DISCUSSION==

RAIN AND STRONG WINDS WILL CONTINUE TO AFFECT THE BUFFALO NARROWS
AND MEADOW LAKE REGIONS TODAY INTO THURSDAY.

A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM CONTINUES TO INTENSIFY AND MOVE FROM ALBERTA
TO SASKATCHEWAN THIS EVENING. THIS WEATHER SYSTEM WILL BRING AN AREA
OF RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS TO PARTS OF NORTHWESTERN SASKATCHEWAN
TONIGHT AND THROUGH THE DAY ON THURSDAY. THE HEAVIEST RAINS ARE
EXPECTED TO BE IN THE BUFFALO NARROWS AND MEADOW LAKE REGIONS WHERE
A TOTAL OF 30 TO 50 MM OF RAIN IS LIKELY BY THE END OF THURSDAY WITH
LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE DUE TO EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS.

STRONG NORTHWESTERLY WINDS WILL ALSO DEVELOP IN THE WAKE OF THIS
SYSTEM ON THURSDAY. AREAS TOWARDS THE ALBERTA BORDER MAY SEE WINDS
WITH GUST CLOSE TO 70 KM/H OR HIGHER. WINDS WILL GRADUALLY DIMINISH
THURSDAY AFTERNOON AS THE LOW MOVES EASTWARD.
