PRIMARY CAUSE: PERSISTENT RAINFALL

REASON FOR WARNING/ADVISORY:
THE YENTNA RIVER AT LAKE CREEK HAS EXCEEDED FLOOD STAGE AS A RESULT
OF RECENT AND ONGOING RAINFALL AND MINOR FLOODING IS NOW
OCCURRING ALONG THE RIVER. LOW-LYING AREAS ALONG THE RIVER ARE
INUNDATED AND SOME CABINS THAT ARE NEAR THE RIVER IN LOWER AREAS
ARE REPORTED TO HAVE WATER IN THEM. WATER LEVELS CONTINUE TO RISE AND ARE
EXPECTED TO CLIMB ANOTHER 1 TO 1.5 FEET WITH EXPECTED CREST LATER THIS EVENING.

EXPECTED IMPACTS:
MINOR TO MODERATE FLOODING OF LOW LYING AREAS WILL CONTINUE OVER THE
NEXT 12 TO 18 HOURS AS YENTNA RIVER LEVELS EXCEED FLOOD STAGE BEFORE

CONTINUED RISING WATER LEVELS AND AN INCREASE IN DEBRIS MOVING
