SOUTHEASTERN WASHINGTON...CENTRAL CLARKE AND WESTERN WILCOX  
COUNTIES...  
 
AT 1017 PM CDT, CLARKE COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT REPORTED THAT  
HIGHWAY 43 NEAR BASSETT CREEK, OR ABOUT 3 MILES SOUTH OF  
THOMASVILLE, IS IMPASSABLE IN BOTH DIRECTIONS WITH 6 FEET OF WATER  
OVER THE ROAD. MULTIPLE VEHICLES ARE SUBMERGED. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO  
TRAVEL OVER ANY ROADWAYS THAT ARE COVERED WITH WATER. THE FLASH  
FLOOD WARNING WILL REMAIN IN EFFECT DUE TO MULTIPLE REPORTS OF WATER  
OVER ROADS IN THE WARNED AREA.  
 
SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...  
JACKSON, THOMASVILLE, GROVE HILL, WHATLEY, PINE HILL, FULTON,  
MCINTOSH, YELLOW BLUFF AND DANNELLY RESERVOIR.  
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...  
 
TURN AROUND, DON'T DROWN WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS. MOST FLOOD  
DEATHS OCCUR IN VEHICLES.  
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
