AN EF-2 TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN JUST SOUTH OF  
HIGHWAY 506...SNAPPING AND UPROOTING TREES.  
AS THE TORNADO CONTINUED  
NORTH-NORTHEAST...IT TORE THROUGH THE  
CATAHOULA NATIONAL WILDLIFE  
REFUGE...SNAPPING AND UPROOTING TREES.  
SEVERAL OUTBUILDINGS AND CAMPSITES WERE  
SEVERELY DAMAGED BY FALLING TREES JUST OFF  
OF CHILDRESS ROAD. THE TORNADO TURNED MORE  
NORTHEAST AT BEAUCUP ROAD AND CHILDRESS  
ROAD...BEFORE LIFTING JUST BEFORE GOLDWING  
LANE. PATH LENGTH WAS 4.21 MILES...MAXIMUM  
WIDTH WAS 343 YARDS...AND MAXIMUM WINDS WERE  
ESTIMATED AT 115 MPH.
