FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR SOUTHWEST AND SOUTH-CENTRAL
ARIZONA AND SOUTHEAST CALIFORNIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PHOENIX AZ
213 AM MST SAT JUN 23 2018

DISCUSSION

TEMPERATURES WILL DECREASE MODESTLY THROUGH SUNDAY WITH READINGS
FALLING TO NEAR NORMAL VALUES. COINCIDENT WITH THIS TRANSITION,
SHALLOW MOISTURE WILL SURGE INTO THE DISTRICTS AND ESPECIALLY SE
CALIFORNIA AND SW ARIZONA. MINIMUM HUMIDITY VALUES WILL RISE INTO
A 10-20% RANGE WITH SOME MORE PREFERRED AREAS IN THE LOWER
COLORADO RIVER VALLEY LIKELY NOT FALLING BELOW 25%. OVERNIGHT
RECOVERY WILL STEADILY IMPROVE INTO A FAIR TO GOOD LEVEL. HOWEVER,
WIND SPEEDS WILL INCREASE MARKEDLY WITH WESTERN DISTRICTS LIKELY
EXPERIENCING LATE MORNING AND AFTERNOON WIND GUSTS IN A 20-30 MPH
RANGE. MARGINALLY ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS WILL BE
POSSIBLE ACROSS SOUTHERN GILA COUNTY WHERE HUMIDITIES WILL REMAIN
A BIT LOWER, WHILE WIND GUSTS TO 20 MPH ARE POSSIBLE.

NOTE...ADDITIONAL FIRE WEATHER FORECAST INFORMATION CAN BE FOUND
IN THE AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION. SEE PRODUCT PHXAFDPSR.
