AT 1245 PM PDT, DOPPLER WEATHER RADAR WAS INDICATING SCATTERED  
SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE MOUNTAINS OF VENTURA  
AND SANTA BARBARA COUNTIES AND THE VENTURA COUNTY VALLEYS,  
INCLUDING THE THOMAS FIRE BURN AREA. THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS  
OVER THE MOUNTAINS WERE SLOWLY MOVING SOUTHEAST ABOUT 5 MPH.  
LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN WITH ONE-HOUR RAINFALL RATES UP TO ONE QUARTER  
INCH HAVE BEEN OBSERVED, ALTHOUGH INSTANTANEOUS RATES OVER ONE  
INCH PER HOUR HAVE OCCURRED IN THE HEAVIEST SHOWERS. THESE  
RAINFALL RATES OVER THE THOMAS FIRE BURN AREA WILL LIKELY CAUSE  
MINOR MUD AND DEBRIS FLOWS. THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE  
EXPECTED TO PERSIST THROUGH EARLY THIS EVENING.
