EXTENSIVE LOW CLOUDINESS WAS OBSERVED ACROSS THE AREA THIS MORNING  
WITH EAST TO SOUTHEAST WINDS OF 10 TO 20 MPH AND GUSTY. LOW  
TEMPERATURES WERE IN THE LOW TO UPPER 30S. DURING THE AFTERNOON  
HOURS A MOSTLY SUNNY SKY WAS OBSERVED ALONG AND WEST OF THE  
COLORADO KANSAS BORDER WITH A MOSTLY CLOUDY SKY TO THE EAST. WINDS  
STRENGTHEN INTO THE 15 TO 25 MPH RANGE FROM THE SOUTH WITH GUSTS  
AROUND 35 MPH. 2 PM MDT (3 PM CDT) TEMPERATURES WERE GENERALLY  
FROM 50 TO NEAR 60 DEGREES AT RANGE FROM 50 IN NORTON TO 59 IN  
BURLINGTON.  
 
OUTLOOK... EXTENSIVE LOW CLOUDINESS WILL REDEVELOP THIS EVENING  
AND CONTINUE OVERNIGHT AS SOUTHERLY WINDS CONTINUE TO TRANSPORT  
LOW LEVEL MOISTURE INTO THE AREA. A FEW AREAS OF DRIZZLE AND FOG  
ARE POSSIBLE. LOW TEMPERATURES WILL BE ABOVE NORMAL IN THE LOW TO  
MID 40S. THE LOW CLOUDINESS WILL GRADUALLY MOVE EAST THROUGH THE  
DAY THURSDAY ALLOWING THE ATMOSPHERE TO DESTABILIZE WITH HIGH  
TEMPERATURES IN THE MID 70S TO LOW 80S. SOUTH TO SOUTHWEST WINDS  
OF 15 TO 30 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS ARE EXPECTED AND COULD PRODUCE A  
FEW AREAS OF BLOWING DUST. SHOWERS AND A FEW THUNDERSTORMS ARE  
POSSIBLE FROM NOON THROUGH LATE AFTERNOON GENERALLY ALONG AND EAST  
OF THE COLORADO KANSAS BORDER. A BETTER CHANCE DEVELOPS SHORTLY  
BEFORE SUNSET AND CONTINUES THROUGH THE EVENING. A FEW STORMS MAY  
BECOME SEVERE. FOR THURSDAY NIGHT AND FRIDAY A STRONG LOW PRESSURE  
SYSTEM MOVES EAST ALONG THE KANSAS OKLAHOMA BORDER. PRECIPITATION  
CHANCES INCREASE ON THE BACKSIDE OF THIS SYSTEM PRODUCING  
WIDESPREAD RAIN AND A FEW THUNDERSTORMS. SOME SNOW IS ALSO  
POSSIBLE. NORTH WINDS OF 20 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS OVER 50 MPH ARE  
EXPECTED FRIDAY. HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL ONLY REACH THE LOW TO MID  
40S ALONG AND WEST OF THE COLORADO BORDER WITH SOME LOW 60S ACROSS  
THE FAR EASTERN REACHES OF THE AREA.
