REGIONAL WEATHER SUMMARY FOR THE HIGH PLAINS  
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GOODLAND KS  
318 PM MDT WED APR 26 2017 /418 PM CDT WED APR 26 2017/  
 
MOSTLY SKIES BECAME MOSTLY SUNNY. NORTH TO NORTHWEST WINDS  
INCREASED TO 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS TO NEAR 30 MPH. AFTERNOON  
TEMPERATURES HAD CLIMBED INTO THE 50S.  
 
OUTLOOK... CLOUD COVER WILL SLOWLY INCREASE THROUGH THE NIGHT AS  
THE WINDS BECOME LIGHT AND VARIABLE, ESPECIALLY IN THE NORTHERN  
AND EASTERN SECTIONS. AS A RESULT A FROST ADVISORY HAS BEEN ISSUED  
FOR THE NORTH AND EAST PORTION OF THE AREA FOR THE OVERNIGHT AND  
EARLY MORNING HOURS. LOW TEMPERATURES WILL BE IN THE 30S WHICH IS  
NEAR TO SLIGHTLY BELOW NORMAL.  
 
AN INCOMING STORM SYSTEM WILL BRING A GOOD CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND  
THUNDERSTORMS TO THE AREA ON THURSDAY. SOME OF THESE STORMS COULD  
BECOME STRONG. HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL RANGE FROM THE LOWER 50S TO  
THE LOWER 60S WHICH FROM CLOSE TO 5 TO AROUND 10 DEGREES BELOW  
NORMAL.  
 
A CONTINUED WET AND COOL PATTERN WILL CONTINUE INTO THE WEEKEND.  
THERE WILL BE A CHANCE OF LIGHT ACCUMULATIONS OF SNOW DURING THE  
WEEKEND.
