THE OREGON DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY HAS ISSUED AN ORANGE  
/UNHEALTHY FOR SENSITIVE GROUPS/ AIR QUALITY ADVISORY FOR BAKER  
COUNTY DUE TO ELEVATED POLLUTANT LEVELS. THIS ADVISORY WILL REMAIN  
IN EFFECT UNTIL AIR QUALITY CONDITIONS HAVE SIGNIFICANTLY IMPROVED.  
 
AIR POLLUTANTS CAN CAUSE BREATHING DIFFICULTIES FOR CHILDREN, THE  
ELDERLY, AS WELL AS PERSONS WITH RESPIRATORY PROBLEMS. THOSE  
INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE SENSITIVE TO INCREASED PARTICULATE MATTER,  
GASEOUS POLLUTANTS SUCH AS OZONE, OR SMOKE, ARE ENCOURAGED TO AVOID  
PROLONGED OR STRENUOUS OUTDOOR ACTIVITY. IT IS ALSO RECOMMENDED THAT  
ALL OTHER INDIVIDUALS LIMIT PROLONGED OR STRENUOUS ACTIVITY  
OUTDOORS.  
 
IF IT IS A REGULARLY SCHEDULED WORK DAY, YOU ARE URGED TO:  
 
* CAR POOL, TELECOMMUTE, OR USE MASS TRANSIT  
* AVOID IDLING YOUR VEHICLE  
* DELAY FUELING YOUR VEHICLE UNTIL LATE IN THE DAY  
* REDUCE THE USE OF GASOLINE-POWERED EQUIPMENT OR DELAY  
UNTIL LATE IN THE DAY.
