NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LINCOLN IL
311 PM CDT SAT APR 21 2018

OVERCAST SKIES MOVED INTO THE REGION THIS MORNING, AS A LOW
PRESSURE SYSTEM ACROSS THE SOUTHERN PLAINS TRACKS EASTWARD,
SPREADING MOISTURE INTO THE MIDWEST. EVEN THOUGH CLOUDS HAVE
INHIBITED SUNSHINE, TEMPERATURES WERE ABLE TO CLIMB INTO THE LOW
60S THIS AFTERNOON.

A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL SLOWLY SLIDE THROUGH THE SOUTHEAST
U.S. OVER THE COURSE OF THE NEXT FEW DAYS. THIS WILL BRING
PRECIPITATION CHANCES TO LOCATIONS ALONG AND SOUTH OF I-72, WITH
WIDESPREAD RAIN AND THUNDERSTORM OPPORTUNITIES ALONG AND SOUTH OF
THE OHIO RIVER VALLEY. LOCATIONS NORTH OF I-72 AND I-74, WILL
REMAIN MOSTLY DRY, HOWEVER CLOUDS WILL KEEP SUNSHINE TO A MINIMUM.
THE SPRING- LIKE TEMPERATURES WILL PERSIST THROUGH THE WEEKEND
AND INTO THE BEGINNING OF NEXT WEEK.

LOWS TONIGHT, WILL RANGE NEAR THE FREEZING MARK ACROSS NORTHERN
IOWA AND SOUTHERN WISCONSIN, TO THE MIDDLE 50S ACROSS SOUTHEAST
MISSOURI AND WESTERN KENTUCKY. HIGHS SUNDAY WILL ONCE AGAIN BE
MILD, WITH FORECASTED TEMPERATURES TO BE IN THE 60S ACROSS THE
MIDWEST.
