SHOWERS AND ISOLATED NON-SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE LIKELY EARLY  
THIS MORNING, ENDING FROM THE SOUTHWEST DURING THE EARLY TO MID  
MORNING HOURS. LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL IN EXCESS OF AN INCH IS  
POSSIBLE WITH THIS BATCH OF RAIN, WHICH COULD CAUSE SOME MINOR  
FLOODING AND PONDING OF WATER IN LOW LYING AND FLOOD PRONE AREAS.  
 
SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO RE-DEVELOP THIS AFTERNOON  
OVER WESTERN ILLINOIS, THEN TRACK EAST ACROSS THE NORTHERN  
ILLINOIS LATE THIS AFTERNOON INTO EARLY THIS EVENING. WIDESPREAD  
SEVERE WEATHER IS NOT EXPECTED, HOWEVER, CONDITIONS ARE SUCH THAT  
A BRIEF TORNADO OR A BIT OF HAIL CANNOT BE RULED OUT THIS  
AFTERNOON, MAINLY WEST OF THE FOX RIVER.  
 
RAIN SHOWERS WILL CHANGE TO SNOW SHOWERS TONIGHT, MAINLY AFTER  
MIDNIGHT. THERE IS A CHANCE OF SOME HEAVIER SNOW SHOWERS  
DEVELOPING NORTH OF I-88 AND I-290, WHICH IF THEY DEVELOP COULD
