* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR...  
NORTHERN FRANKLIN COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL KANSAS...  
DOUGLAS COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL KANSAS...  
 
* UNTIL 500 PM CDT.  
 
* AT 357 PM CDT, SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE  
EXTENDING FROM 5 MILES NORTHEAST OF LAWRENCE TO NEAR BALDWIN CITY  
TO 4 MILES SOUTHEAST OF OTTAWA, MOVING EAST AT 55 MPH.  
 
THESE ARE VERY DANGEROUS STORMS. WIDESPREAD DAMAGING WINDS ARE  
OCCURRING.  
 
HAZARD...80 MPH WIND GUSTS.  
 
SOURCE...TRAINED WEATHER SPOTTERS. AUTOMATED WEATHER OBSERVATIONS  
ARE MEASURING SEVERE WINDS WITH THESE STORMS.  
 
IMPACT...FLYING DEBRIS WILL BE DANGEROUS TO THOSE CAUGHT WITHOUT  
SHELTER. MOBILE HOMES WILL BE HEAVILY DAMAGED. EXPECT  
CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE TO ROOFS, WINDOWS, AND VEHICLES.  
EXTENSIVE TREE DAMAGE AND POWER OUTAGES ARE LIKELY.
