WARM AND HUMID CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE QUAD STATE  
REGION TODAY AND MONDAY, WITH AFTERNOON HEAT INDEX VALUES TOPPING  
OUT IN THE UPPER 90S TO AROUND 100 DEGREES.  
 
A WEAK DISTURBANCE ALOFT WILL KEEP A SMALL CHANCE FOR SHOWERS AND  
THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS PART OF THE AREA TODAY, BUT ANY STORM  
ACTIVITY SHOULD DISSIPATE AFTER SUNSET.  
 
MOSTLY SUNNY CONDITIONS SHOULD PREVAIL ACROSS SOUTHWEST INDIANA,  
WEST KENTUCKY, AND SOUTHERN ILLINOIS DURING THE PASSAGE OF THE  
ECLIPSE ON MONDAY. A FEW MORE CLOUDS AND AN ISOLATED SHOWER OR  
THUNDERSTORM MAY BE POSSIBLE OVER PARTS OF SOUTHEAST MISSOURI AND  
EXTREME SOUTHWEST ILLINOIS MONDAY AFTERNOON.  
 
RAIN CHANCES WILL RETURN FROM THE NORTH ON TUESDAY. STORMS WILL  
WORK SOUTHEAST THROUGH THE QUAD STATE REGION THROUGH EARLY  
WEDNESDAY MORNING. SOME OF THE STORMS COULD BECOME SEVERE LATE  
TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING.  
 
DRIER AND COOLER CONDITIONS WILL RETURN ON WEDNESDAY AND PERSIST  
THROUGH THE REMAINDER OF THIS WEEK. HIGHS WILL BE IN THE LOWER 90S  
TODAY AND MONDAY, COOLING INTO THE LOWER 80S FOR THE LATTER HALF  
OF THE WEEK. LOWS WILL MOVE FROM THE 70S, DOWNWARD INTO THE 50S  
AND 60S THIS WEEK.
