FLAT RIVER NEAR SMYRNA AFFECTING IONIA COUNTY  
 
REPORTS FROM THE DOUBLE R RANCH CAMPGROUND INDICATE THAT THE RIVER  
LEVELS HAVE FALLEN SINCE LAST WEEK AND THERE ARE NO HIGH WATER  
IMPACTS AT THE CAMPGROUND. THE GAGE AT SMYRNA IS POSSIBLY READING  
TOO LOW DUE TO ICE EFFECTS... HOWEVER THE RIVER IS LIKELY BELOW  
BANKFULL BASED ON REPORTS AND THE GENERAL DOWNWARD TREND OF  
AREA RIVERS THANKS TO THE RECENT LACK OF PRECIPITATION. RIVER  
LEVELS MAY FLUCTUATE AS SOME SNOW PACK MELTS AND RIVER ICE GETS  
JAMMED UP AND RELEASES... THOUGH FLOOD IMPACTS ARE NOT EXPECTED.
