REGIONAL WEATHER SYNOPSIS
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DULUTH MN
339 AM CDT SAT MAR 25 2017

HIGH PRESSURE WILL COVER THE WESTERN GREAT LAKES REGION TODAY. AN
EASTERLY FLOW OFF OF LAKE SUPERIOR MAY PRODUCE SOME PATCHY DRIZZLE
OR FREEZING DRIZZLE THIS MORNING ALONG THE NORTH SHORE. THERE IS
A LOW CHANCE OF LIGHT RAIN DEVELOPING OVER WISCONSIN THIS
AFTERNOON. EVEN THOUGH THE HIGH PRESSURE WILL REMAIN NEARBY
TONIGHT, AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE WILL MOVE TOWARD THE GREAT LAKES
FROM THE SOUTH. THIS WILL RESULT IN A WINTRY MIX OF PRECIPITATION
OVER NORTHERN MINNESOTA, NORTHERN WISCONSIN AND UPPER MICHIGAN
TONIGHT. LIGHT RAIN IS EXPECTED FARTHER SOUTH. DRY CONDITIONS
ELSEWHERE. ON SUNDAY, THE SURFACE LOW REACHES THE SOUTHERN GREAT
LAKES. THE WINTRY MIXED PRECIPITATION WILL CONTINUE IN THE MORNING
BEFORE CHANGING TO RAIN IN THE AFTERNOON, OVER EASTERN MINNESOTA,
ALL OF WISCONSIN AND UPPER MICHIGAN. DRY ELSEWHERE.

HIGHS TODAY WILL RANGE FROM THE 30S NEAR LAKE SUPERIOR, TO THE 40S
ELSEWHERE. LOWS TONIGHT WILL RANGE FROM THE 20S NORTH, TO THE
LOWER 40S IN SOUTHERN WISCONSIN. HIGHS ON SUNDAY SHALL RANGE FROM
THE 30S NEAR LAKE SUPERIOR, TO THE 40S ELSEWHERE. SOME LOWER 50S
ARE POSSIBLE OVER THE EASTERN DAKOTAS AND SOUTHERN WISCONSIN.
