DISCUSSION

THERE WILL BE A BLAST OF HEAT INTO THE REGION SATURDAY AHEAD OF
AN APPROACHING COOL FRONT FROM THE WEST. THE WINDS WILL QUICKLY
RAMP UP AROUND AFTER DAWN, BECOMING WINDY BY MID-MORNING. GUSTS OF
20 TO 30 MPH ARE FORECAST FOR THE RACE ROUTE BY LATE MORNING
THROUGH THE AFTERNOON. TEMPERATURES WILL QUICKLY CLIMB INTO THE
MIDDLE AND UPPER 80S. HUMIDITY WILL MAKE IT FEEL CLOSE TO AROUND
90 DEGREES. THIS WILL BE THE HOTTEST WEATHER OF THE YEAR SO FAR.

A COOL FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH THE RACE ROUTE DURING THE VERY
LATE AFTERNOON THROUGH EVENING, GENERALLY FROM THE WEST TO EAST.
THERE IS A LOW PROBABILITY OF THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPING ALONG THE
FRONT. WHILE THE PROBABILITY IS LOW, IF STORMS DO DEVELOP, THEY
COULD EASILY BECOME SEVERE IN NATURE. LARGE HAIL, DAMAGING WINDS,
HEAVY RAIN, AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING WOULD BE POSSIBLE WITH THOSE
STORMS.
