REGIONAL WEATHER SYNOPSIS
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GREAT FALLS MT
440 PM MDT THU APR 27 2017

A LOW PRESSURE TROUGH OVER NORTH CENTRAL AND SOUTHWEST MONTANA WILL
CAUSE SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS RAIN AND SNOW SHOWERS TO PERSIST OVER
THE REGION OVERNIGHT, WITH MINOR ADDITIONAL SNOW ACCUMULATION IN THE
MOUNTAINS. AS THE TROUGH DEEPENS OVER THE CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN
ROCKIES ON FRIDAY, THE BETTER CHANCE WILL SHIFT MORE SO OVER THE
MOUNTAINS OF WESTERN AND SOUTHWEST MONTANA. ALTHOUGH MOST OF THE
AREA SHOULD BE DRY ON SATURDAY, A TRAILING SHORTWAVE TROUGH MAY
BRING A FEW SHOWERS. HOWEVER, AN UNSETTLED PATTERN WITH SCATTERED
SHOWERS RETURNS FOR THE BEGINNING OF NEXT WEEK. TEMPERATURES WILL
WARM BACK UP TO NEAR NORMAL BY SUNDAY, BUT THEY WILL REMAIN JUST
BELOW NORMAL TO START THE WEEK.
