AS A BROAD AREA OF LOW PRESSURE MOVED TOWARD THE NORTHEAST, CLOUD  
COVER AND SHOWERS CONTINUED IN THE AREA. TEMPERATURES WARMED FROM  
THE 50S INTO THE 60S IN MANY AREAS WITH 70S ACROSS THE PIEDMONT.  
RAINFALL AMOUNTS DURING THE DAY VARIED FROM LESS THAN A QUARTER OF  
AN INCH FOR AREAS WEST OF ROANOKE TO OVER A HALF AN INCH AT THE  
HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF GREENBRIER COUNTY AND IN THE PIEDMONT.  
   
FORECAST SUMMARY
 
 
AS THE BROAD AREA OF LOW PRESSURE HEADS OFFSHORE TONIGHT, A FEW  
LINGERING SHOWERS MAY FALL IN SOUTHEAST WEST VIRGINIA. DRY AND  
MILD CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE FOR WEDNESDAY. THURSDAY SHOULD  
BRING MORE CLOUDS, COOLER TEMPERATURES, AND SOME FOG AND DRIZZLE  
AS HIGH PRESSURE WEDGES ALONG THE EASTERN SIDE OF THE BLUE  
RIDGE. RAIN CHANCES WILL INCREASE AGAIN ON FRIDAY.
