A TROPICAL AIR MASS HELD ON THROUGH THE DAY FRIDAY, THEN WAS SWEPT  
CLEAN BY A COLD FRONT OVERNIGHT. DEW POINTS FELL 15 DEGREES WITH  
THE PASSING OF THE FRONT. THE COLD FRONT ENTERED THE MOUNTAINS  
AROUND MIDNIGHT AND EXITED THE PIEDMONT BY 400 AM. RAINFALL  
AMOUNTS VARIED FROM THREE QUARTERS OF AN INCH IN SOUTHEASTERN WEST  
VIRGINIA TO A COUPLE OF HUNDREDTHS IN THE PIEDMONT.  
 
FRIDAY AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES WARMED INTO THE MID TO UPPER 80S  
ACROSS THE PIEDMONT, WITH UPPER 70S PREVALENT IN THE HIGHER  
ELEVATIONS. OVERNIGHT LOWS RANGED IN THE 60S.  
   
FORECAST SUMMARY
 
 
A COOL AND DRY HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL MOVE OVER THE REGION  
THIS WEEKEND AND REMAIN THROUGH MOST OF NEXT WEEK. THIS WILL  
RESULT IN BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES AND MUCH LOWER HUMIDITY  
LEVELS. WARMER TEMPERATURES RETURN LATE IN THE WEEK.
