...PATCHY FREEZING FOG POSSIBLE THROUGH 830 AM IN THE MOUNTAIN
RIVER VALLEYS...

A FEW PATCHES OF FREEZING FOG MAY DEVELOP AROUND DAYBREAK THIS
MORNING IN THE RIVER VALLEYS ACROSS THE CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN
MOUNTAINS OF WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA. TEMPERATURES ARE HOVERING
BETWEEN 25 AND 30 DEGREES IN THESE AREAS THIS MORNING AND THE
RIVER VALLEYS ARE CONTRIBUTING JUST ENOUGH MOISTURE TO PERMIT
PATCHY FOG TO DEVELOP UNDER CLEAR SKIES WITH LIGHT WINDS. THE
GREATEST CHANCE OF FREEZING FOG WILL BE IN THE LITTLE TENNESSEE
RIVER VALLEY AND THE FRENCH BROAD RIVER VALLEY, INCLUDING THE
FRANKLIN AND ASHEVILLE AREAS.

USE CAUTION IF DRIVING THIS MORNING IN CASE YOU ENCOUNTER
LOCALIZED AREAS OF FOG. BE AWARE THAT FREEZING FOG CAN PRODUCE A
LIGHT GLAZE OF ICE ON ELEVATED SURFACES, SUCH AS BRIDGES, AND
PRODUCE SLIPPERY CONDITIONS. ALLOW EXTRA TIME TO REACH YOUR
DESTINATION THIS MORNING.
