DISCUSSION

EXPECT EASTERLY WINDS THIS AFTERNOON, WITH A SLIGHT
POSSIBILITY THAT WINDS MAY BECOME SOUTHEASTERLY AT TIMES. WE ARE
EXPECTING THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT THIS AFTERNOON OVER WESTERN
AND CENTRAL NORTH DAKOTA, BUT WE ARE NOT CONFIDENT ON WHEN AND
WHERE CONVECTION WOULD BEGIN. THE ATMOSPHERE IS UNSTABLE OVER THE
INCIDENT SITE, BUT AT THIS TIME CHANCES ARE ON THE LOW SIDE THAT
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WOULD BE FAVORABLE OVER NORTHWESTERN
NORTH DAKOTA (BETTER CHANCES FARTHER EAST). THAT SAID, WINDS WOULD
BE ERRATIC IN AND NEAR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. MOSTLY CLOUDY
FOR MID-AFTERNOON, WITH PARTIAL CLEARING LATE AFTERNOON AND EARLY
EVENING BEFORE CLOUDS MOVE BACK IN AGAIN TONIGHT.

WINDS WILL BECOME LIGHT LATER TONIGHT, THEN INCREASING GUSTY WEST
WINDS EXPECTED FOR WEDNESDAY.
