WEATHER SUMMARY FOR WESTERN AND NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NORTH PLATTE NE
803 PM CDT FRI APR 28 2017 /703 PM MDT FRI APR 28 2017/

TODAY, A LARGE BAND OF RAIN AND SNOW DRAPED ACROSS THE STATE,
DROPPING ONE QUARTER TO ONE AND ONE AND A HALF INCHES OF
PRECIPITATION ACROSS THE AREA. TEMPERATURES WHERE CHILLY, AND MANY
AREAS SAW THEIR DAILY HIGH TEMPERATURE CLOSER TO MIDNIGHT. WINDS
WERE OUT OF THE NORTHEAST AND WERE BREEZY AT TIMES, WHICH MADE
TODAY'S COLD TEMPERATURES FEEL EVEN COLDER.

TOMORROW, AN AREA OF MOISTURE WILL PUSH UP FROM THE SOUTH DURING
THE DAY. THIS WILL LIKELY FALL IN THE FORM OF RAIN GIVEN THE
TIMING. HOWEVER, MORE RAIN AND SNOW IS LIKELY OVERNIGHT AS ANOTHER
SYSTEM PUSHES IN. THERE COULD BE SOME HEAVY, WET SNOW WHEREVER
THIS BAND SETS UP, ORIENTED FROM SOUTHWEST TO NORTHEAST. AT THIS
TIME, IT LOOKS LIKE IT WILL BE CENTERED EAST OF NORTH PLATTE BUT
THE FORECAST COULD CHANGE BETWEEN NOW AND THEN. WINDS WILL REMAIN
RAW AND GUSTY ACROSS THE AREA.
