==DISCUSSION==

FREEZING RAIN GRADUALLY ENDING THIS MORNING. LOCALIZED POWER OUTAGES
LIKELY.

THE FREEZING RAIN IS SLOWLY TRANSITIONING TO RAIN ACROSS THE REGION,
BUT WILL LINGER INTO THIS MORNING AS TEMPERATURES STRUGGLE TO RISE
ABOVE THE FREEZING MARK. IT SHOULD CHANGE TO RAIN A LITTLE LATER
THIS MORNING.

ICE ACCUMULATIONS COMBINED WITH BRISK NORTHEAST WINDS WILL LIKELY
STILL RESULT IN SOME POWER OUTAGES DUE TO FALLEN TREE LIMBS AND
POWER LINES.

SURFACES SUCH AS HIGHWAYS, ROADS, WALKWAYS AND PARKING LOTS WILL
BECOME ICY, SLIPPERY AND HAZARDOUS. BEWARE OF BRANCHES OR ELECTRICAL
WIRES THAT COULD BREAK UNDER THE WEIGHT OF ICE.

PLEASE CONTINUE TO MONITOR ALERTS AND FORECASTS ISSUED BY
ENVIRONMENT CANADA. TO REPORT SEVERE WEATHER, SEND AN EMAIL TO
ONSTORM(AT)CANADA.CA OR TWEET REPORTS USING (HASH)ONSTORM.
