DISCUSSION

CLEAR AND COOL CONDITIONS ARE PREVAILING ACROSS THE
NORTHERN GULF COAST AS HIGH PRESSURE MOVES ACROSS THE MISSISSIPPI
VALLEY AND THE GREAT LAKES.

WITH THE RIDGE CENTERED TO THE NORTH, WINDS ARE NORTHEAST AREA
WIDE KEEPING GULF MOISTURE AT BAY. THE RIDGE WILL CONTINUE
SHIFTING EAST TONIGHT AND THROUGH SATURDAY. CHILLY CONDITIONS ARE
EXPECTED TONIGHT WITH THE FLOW REMAINING OFFSHORE, HOWEVER WITH
THE RIDGE MOVING EAST OF THE AREA WINDS WILL BECOME SOMEWHAT ONSHORE
AND WARM THE REGION THROUGH THE WEEKEND.

A ZONAL FLOW LOOKS TO REMAIN IN PLACE FOR MUCH OF THE COMING WEEK
KEEPING ANY STRONG INTRUSIONS OF COLD AIR AWAY, HOWEVER ANOTHER
WEAK FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH THE AREA THIS WEEKEND AND AT THE
VERY END OF PERIOD. VERY LIMITED MOISTURE AND WEAK LIFT WILL BE
ASSOCIATED WITH THE FRONT SATURDAY. ONLY ISOLATED SHOWERS ARE
EXPECTED WITH THE BOUNDARY AND NEAR NORMAL TEMPERATURES WILL
OCCUR THROUGH MID WEEK. A STRONGER SHORT WAVE WILL PUSH THROUGH
THE REGION BY THE END OF THE WEEK. ISOLATED TO SCATTERED SHOWERS
WILL BE POSSIBLE ALONG WITH A DECREASE IN TEMPS FOR NEXT WEEKEND.

MARINE

A FAIRLY WEAK PRESSURE PATTERN IS EXPECTED THROUGH MID
WEEK. NO FLAGS WITH A GENERALLY EAST FLOW.
