...SNOW POSSIBLE FOR THE CASCADES AND HIGHEST ELEVATIONS OF THE  
SIERRAS...  
 
A FRONT EXTENDING FROM THE NORTHERN APPALACHIANS/OHIO VALLEY TO  
LOWER MISSISSIPPI VALLEY/SOUTHERN PLAINS WILL MOVE OFF THE  
NORTHEAST AND NORTHERN MID-ATLANTIC COAST BY FRIDAY EVENING AND  
OFF THE CAROLINAS BY SATURDAY MORNING. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS  
WILL DEVELOP ALONG AND AHEAD OF THE BOUNDARY FROM THE SOUTHERN  
OHIO VALLEY TO THE LOWER MISSISSIPPI VALLEY THAT WILL MOVE TO THE  
MID-ATLANTIC TO THE LOWER MISSISSIPPI VALLEY BY FRIDAY EVENING.  
THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE OVER PARTS OF THE  
LOWER MISSISSIPPI VALLEY INTO PARTS OF THE CENTRAL/SOUTHERN  
APPALACHIANS AND THE MID-ATLANTIC THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING. IN  
ADDITION, RAIN WILL DEVELOP ALONG THE FRONT FROM PARTS OF THE  
LOWER GREAT LAKES TO THE NORTHERN OHIO VALLEY THAT WILL MOVE OFF  
THE NORTHEAST/NORTHERN MID-ATLANTIC COAST BY LATE FRIDAY EVENING.  
 
MEANWHILE, ANOTHER FRONT EXTENDING FROM THE NORTHERN HIGH PLAINS  
ROUGHLY WESTWARD TO NORTHERN CALIFORNIA/PACIFIC NORTHWEST WILL  
SLOWLY MOVE SOUTHWARD TO THE CENTRAL PLAINS AND APPROXIMATELY  
WESTWARD TO THE GREAT BASIN BY SATURDAY EVENING. ON SATURDAY INTO  
SUNDAY, A WARM FRONT WILL LIFT NORTHWARD OVER SOUTHERN/CENTRAL  
PLAINS AND THE LOWER/MIDDLE MISSISSIPPI VALLEY INTO THE OHIO  
VALLEY. RAIN WILL DEVELOP ALONG THE BOUNDARY FROM NORTHERN  
CALIFORNIA INTO THE NORTHERN ROCKIES THAT WILL CONTINUE OVER PARTS  
OF THE GREAT BASIN INTO THE CENTRAL ROCKIES INTO SATURDAY EVENING.  
SNOW WILL DEVELOP OVER PARTS OF THE NORTHERN INTERMOUNTAIN  
REGION/NORTHERN ROCKIES INTO PARTS OF THE NORTHERN HIGH PLAINS  
THAT WILL CONTINUE OVER PARTS OF THE REGION THROUGH SATURDAY  
EVENING. ON FRIDAY, LIGHT SNOW WILL DEVELOP OVER PARTS OF THE  
NORTHERN PLAINS THAT WILL EXPAND EASTWARD INTO THE UPPER GREAT  
LAKES OVERNIGHT FRIDAY. MOISTURE WILL FLOW NORTHWARD OVER THE  
MIDDLE MISSISSIPPI VALLEY/GREAT LAKES/OHIO VALLEY LATE FRIDAY  
EVENING INTO SATURDAY EVENING THAT WILL AID IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF  
RAIN AND SNOW OVER THE MIDDLE MISSISSIPPI VALLEY/OHIO VALLEY AND  
THE GREAT LAKES ON SATURDAY INTO SATURDAY EVENING.  
 
IN THE MEANTIME, ONSHORE FLOW OFF THE PACIFIC WILL AID IN  
DEVELOPING RAIN OVER THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST AND SNOW OVER THE  
CASCADES THROUGH LATE FRIDAY EVENING WHEN THE ONSHORE FLOW ENDS.  
ONSHORE FLOW MOVES INTO TO NORTHERN CALIFORNIA FRIDAY AFTERNOON  
INTO SATURDAY MORNING WHILE THE ONSHORE FLOW MOVES INTO CENTRAL  
CALIFORNIA ON SATURDAY INTO SATURDAY EVENING. RAIN AND HIGHER  
ELEVATION SNOW WILL DEVELOP OVER NORTHERN CALIFORNIA THROUGH  
SATURDAY AFTERNOON. MAINLY RAIN WILL DEVELOP OVER CENTRAL  
CALIFORNIA WITH SNOW OVER THE HIGHEST ELEVATIONS OF THE SIERRAS ON  
SATURDAY INTO SUNDAY.
