...HIGH WIND, HEAVY RAIN AND MOUNTAIN SNOWS TO PERSIST ACROSS THE  
PACIFIC NORTHWEST AND CALIFORNIA...  
 
A MULTITUDE OF HAZARDS WILL AFFECT THE WESTERN U.S. ON THURSDAY AS  
A STORM SYSTEM COMES ASHORE. PERSISTENT ONSHORE FLOW BEHIND A COLD  
FRONT WILL STREAM PACIFIC MOISTURE INTO THE SIERRAS AND CASCADES,  
REACHING THE GREAT BASIN AND NORTHERN ROCKIES LATER IN THE DAY.  
HEAVY RAINFALL IS EXPECTED FROM WASHINGTON SOUTHWARD TO CENTRAL  
CALIFORNIA WHERE THE BRUNT OF THE HEAVY RAINFALL IS EXPECTED IN  
THE LOWER ELEVATIONS OF THE CENTRAL SIERRAS. HIGH WINDS AND HEAVY  
SNOWFALL ARE EXPECTED FROM THE CASCADES AND SIERRAS TO PARTS OF  
THE CENTRAL AND NORTHERN ROCKIES. WINTER STORM WATCHES, WARNINGS,  
AND WINTER WEATHER ADVISORIES ARE IN EFFECT ACROSS THE REGION.  
 
RECORD HIGH MINIMUM TEMPERATURES WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS PARTS OF  
THE SOUTHWEST, GREAT BASIN, AND CENTRAL ROCKIES ON THURSDAY AND  
RECORD HIGH MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS PARTS OF  
THE SOUTHERN PLAINS ON FRIDAY. LIGHT PRECIPITATION WILL SPREAD  
EAST ACROSS THE ROCKIES INTO THE ADJACENT HIGH PLAINS AS A WEAK  
COLD FRONT PASSES THROUGH THE CENTRAL U.S. THE COOLER,  
POST-FRONTAL AIRMASS WILL LINGER OVER THE CENTRAL CONUS AS HIGH  
PRESSURE RETURNS.
