..HEAVY RAIN POSSIBLE OVER THE LOWER GREAT LAKES/OHIO VALLEY
 
 
...TEMPERATURES WILL BE 20 TO 30 DEGREES ABOVE AVERAGE OVER PARTS  
OF THE CENTRAL/SOUTHERN PLAINS AND CENTRAL/SOUTHERN HIGH PLAINS...  
 
A FRONT EXTENDING FROM THE NORTHERN HIGH PLAINS SOUTHWESTWARD TO  
THE GREAT BASIN WILL SLOWLY MOVE EASTWARD THE GREAT LAKES TO PARTS  
OF THE MIDDLE/LOWER MISSISSIPPI VALLEY INTO THE SOUTHERN PLAINS BY  
SATURDAY. THE SYSTEM WILL PRODUCE RAIN AND HIGHER ELEVATION SNOW  
OVER THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST AND NORTHERN/CENTRAL CALIFORNIA  
EASTWARD INTO THE NORTHERN/CENTRAL ROCKIES THAT WILL TAPER OFF  
OVER CALIFORNIA BY FRIDAY EVENING. THE SNOW AND LOWER ELEVATION  
RAIN WILL TAPER OFF OVER THE GREAT BASIN, CENTRAL ROCKIES, AND  
MOST OF THE NORTHERN ROCKIES BY SATURDAY MORNING. IN ADDITION,  
ONSHORE FLOW OVER THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST WILL AID IN CONTINUING  
RAIN AND HIGHER ELEVATION SNOW OVER THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST  
OVERNIGHT FRIDAY INTO SATURDAY THAT WILL BEGIN TO TAPER OFF BY  
SATURDAY AFTERNOON.  
 
ADDITIONALLY, AS THE SYSTEM BEGINS TO MOVE ONTO THE PLAINS,  
MOISTURE FROM THE GULF OF MEXICO WILL MOVE NORTHWARD OVER THE  
PLAINS/MISSISSIPPI VALLEY INTO THE UPPER GREAT LAKES OVERNIGHT  
THURSDAY. SIMILARLY, SNOW WILL BEGIN TO DEVELOP OVER UPPER  
MISSISSIPPI VALLEY OVERNIGHT THURSDAY THAT WILL CHANGE OVER TO  
MOSTLY RAIN BY FRIDAY AFTERNOON. RAIN EXPANDS ALONG THE BOUNDARY  
OVER THE NORTHERN PLAINS WESTWARD INTO PARTS OF THE CENTRAL HIGH  
PLAINS BY FRIDAY EVENING. ALSO BY FRIDAY EVENING, SHOWERS AND  
THUNDERSTORMS WILL BEGIN TO DEVELOP OVER PARTS OF THE MIDDLE  
MISSISSIPPI VALLEY/WESTERN OHIO VALLEY THAT WILL EXPAND EASTWARD  
OVER THE EASTERN/SOUTHERN OHIO VALLEY OVERNIGHT FRIDAY INTO  
SATURDAY. OVERNIGHT FRIDAY, RAIN WILL MOVE INTO THE LOWER GREAT  
LAKES AND PARTS OF THE CENTRAL APPALACHIANS CONTINUING WESTWARD  
OVER PARTS OF THE MIDDLE MISSISSIPPI VALLEY INTO THE CENTRAL  
PLAINS. THE RAIN OVER THE CENTRAL PLAINS WILL TAPER OFF ON  
SATURDAY.  
 
ELSEWHERE, LOW PRESSURE OVER NORTHERN NEW ENGLAND WILL MOVE INTO  
THE CANADIAN MARITIMES BY FRIDAY. RAIN AND HIGHER ELEVATION SNOW  
WILL DEVELOP OVER PARTS OF THE NORTHEAST THAT WILL MOVE OFF THE  
NORTHEAST COAST BY FRIDAY EVENING.
