..MILD TEMPERATURES TO CONTINUE FOR MOST OF THE LOWER 48

...LIGHT SNOW LIKELY FOR NORTHERN NEW YORK AND NEW ENGLAND TODAY
AND AGAIN LATE THURSDAY...

A FAIRLY QUIET COUPLE OF DAYS IS IN STORE AS A COUPLE OF SYSTEMS
MOVE ACROSS THE COUNTRY. A COLD FRONT WILL PUSH OFF THE EAST COAST
THIS AFTERNOON WITH ONLY LIGHT SNOW OR A WINTRY MIX WITH ITS
PASSAGE. TAIL END OF THE FRONT WILL STALL OVER THE LOWER
MISSISSIPPI VALLEY AND DISSIPATE BY LATE THIS EVENING. SCATTERED
LIGHT RAIN IS POSSIBLE FROM LOUISIANA NORTHWARD TO MISSOURRI. TO
THE NORTH, ANOTHER SYSTEM WILL PUSH EASTWARD THROUGH THE HIGH
PLAINS INTO THE GREAT LAKES WITH LIGHT RAIN OR SNOW (MOSTLY NEAR
THE CANADIAN BORDER). THAT WILL MOVE INTO THE NORTHEAST LATE
THURSDAY WITH GENERALLY SCATTERED LIGHT RAIN AND SOME SNOW TO THE
NORTH. TEMPERATURES WILL BE MILD ESPECIALLY AHEAD OF THE FRONT
WITH NEAR RECORD HIGHS POSSIBLE IN SOUTH DAKOTA TODAY. THE EAST
WILL BE MILD AS WELL WITH WIDESPREAD 60S INTO THE MID-ATLANTIC.

TO THE WEST, HIGH PRESSURE TODAY WILL LIMIT PRECIPITATION THROUGH
THE REGION, BUT ANOTHER PACIFIC FRONT WILL PUSH INTO WASHINGTON
AND OREGON ON THURSDAY. ANOTHER ROUND OF LIGHT TO MODEST RAIN/SNOW
IS LIKELY WITH SEVERAL INCHES OF SNOW POSSIBLE IN THE CASCADES.
THAT SYSTEM WILL MOVE QUICKLY TOWARD THE PLAINS BY FRIDAY MORNING
WHERE ANOTHER MILD DAY IS IN STORE FOR NEBRASKA/IOWA NORTHWARD.
