...MILD TEMPERATURES TO CONTINUE FOR MOST OF THE LOWER 48 THROUGH
THE SHORT RANGE PERIOD...

...ANOTHER ROUND OF LIGHT TO MODERATE PRECIPITATION MOVES INTO THE
WEST BY TOMORROW AND AGAIN ON FRIDAY...

A FAIRLY QUIET WEATHER PATTERN IS IN STORE THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS
AS A COUPLE OF SYSTEMS MOVE ACROSS THE COUNTRY. A COLD FRONT
PUSHING THROUGH THE UPPER MIDWEST WILL BRING SOME LIGHT SNOW OR A
MIX TO PORTIONS OF THE UPPER MISSISSIPPI VALLEY AND GREAT LAKES
WITH ITS PASSAGE. TO THE SOUTH, LIGHT RAIN WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS
THE LOWER AND MIDDLE MISSISSIPPI VALLEYS IN ASSOCIATION WITH A
DISSIPATING BOUNDARY OVERNIGHT. AS THE MAIN SYSTEM PUSHES EASTWARD
THROUGH THE OHIO VALLEY TOMORROW AND EVENTUALLY THE NORTHEAST ON
FRIDAY, LIGHT RAIN WILL SPREAD INTO THE OHIO VALLEY AND
MID-ATLANTIC REGIONS, WITH LIGHT SNOWFALL POSSIBLE ACROSS FAR
NORTHERN NEW YORK AND NEW ENGLAND. DESPITE A FRONTAL PASSAGE,
TEMPERATURES ACROSS THE CENTRAL AND EASTERN U.S. SHOULD REMAIN
FAIRLY MILD AND COMFORTABLE FOR THIS TIME OF THE YEAR. AFTERNOON
HIGHS MAY AVERAGE AROUND 10 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL.

OUT WEST, ANOTHER ROUND OF RAIN AND HIGHER ELEVATION SNOW SHOULD
MOVE INTO THE REGION BY TOMORROW AS A FRONT MAKES ITS WAY ONSHORE
AND EVENTUALLY MOVING INTO THE HIGH PLAINS BY THURSDAY EVENING OR
FRIDAY. MOST OF THE PRECIPITATION SHOULD BE LIGHT TO MODEST IN
NATURE, WITH SEVERAL INCHES OF SNOW POSSIBLE IN THE HIGHEST
TERRAIN OF THE CASCADES. EXPECT A SHORT BREAK IN THE WEATHER ON
THURSDAY EVENING, BUT MORE LIGHT PRECIPITATION WILL MOVE IN BY
FRIDAY AS A SECOND COLD FRONT MAKES ITS WAY THROUGH THE EASTERN
PACIFIC TOWARDS THE COAST. AHEAD OF THE FRONT, TEMPERATURES WILL
REMAIN MILD ACROSS THE WEST AND INTO THE NORTHERN PLAINS WITH DAY
TIME TEMPERATURES AVERAGING 15 TO 20 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL,
ESPECIALLY ACROSS THE NORTHERN PLAINS AND PARTS OF THE UPPER
MISSISSIPPI VALLEY.
