..MORE LIGHT TO MODERATE RAIN/SNOW FOR THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST

...ABOVE AVERAGE TEMPERATURES TO CONTINUE FOR MOST OF THE LOWER
48...

THE CONTINENTAL US WILL BE AWASH IN PACIFIC AIR WHILE THE LOOMING
COLD OF THE IMMINENT WINTER WILL STAY CONFINED TO OUR NEIGHBORS TO
THE NORTH. ONE WEATHER SYSTEM WILL MOVE EASTWARD OFF THE EAST
COAST EARLY TOMORROW BRINGING LIGHT RAIN OR SNOW (NEAR THE
CANADIAN BORDER) TO AREAS EAST OF THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER TODAY.
BACK TO THE WEST, YET ANOTHER IN A SERIES OF SYSTEMS WILL PUSH
INTO WASHINGTON AND OREGON LATER TODAY. MODEST RAIN IS EXPECTED
FOR COASTAL WASHINGTON WITH MORE SNOW FOR THE CASCADES AND
OLYMPICS. IN BETWEEN THESE TWO SYSTEMS, TEMPERATURES WILL BE MILD
FOR THE END OF NOVEMBER -- 40S/50S TO THE NORTH ARE ABOUT 10-20
DEGREES ABOVE AVERAGE. THE FOUR CORNERS REGION AND THE SOUTHEAST
WILL ALSO SEE MILD TEMPERATURES ABOUT 5-15 DEGREES ABOVE AVERAGE
TODAY.

FOR FRIDAY, THE FIRST DAY OF DECEMBER, THE SYSTEM IN THE NORTHWEST
WILL MOVE QUICKLY EASTWARD THROUGH THE PLAINS WITH LITTLE
PRECIPITATION. ANOTHER MILD DAY IS LIKELY FOR THE DAKOTAS THROUGH
THE CENTRAL PLAINS. FOR WASHINGTON/OREGON ANOTHER SYSTEM WILL MOVE
INTO THE REGION WITH MORE RAIN FOR THE VALLEYS AND A FRESH
ACCUMULATION OF SNOW FOR THE MOUNTAINS. THIS SYSTEM SHOULD BE MORE
ROBUST THAN THE PRECEDING ONE TODAY. ELSEWHERE, ONLY
LIGHT/SCATTERED SHOWERS ARE POSSIBLE IN THE U.P. OF MICHIGAN AND
IN THE SOUTHEAST AS THE COLD FRONT STALLS ACROSS NORTHERN FLORIDA
AND SOUTHERN GEORGIA.
