A GENERALLY ZONAL PATTERN ALOFT WILL PERSIST ACROSS THE CONUS TODAY,
AS AN UPPER TROUGH APPROACHES THE COAST OF THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST
LATE. AT THE SURFACE, A WEAK LEE TROUGH WILL BE PRESENT OVER PARTS
OF THE CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN HIGH PLAINS THIS AFTERNOON. WESTERLY
DOWNSLOPE WINDS AROUND 15-20 MPH WILL LIKELY DEVELOP ACROSS PARTS OF
EASTERN NM INTO WEST TX, BUT RH VALUES ARE FORECAST TO BECOME ONLY
MODESTLY LOWERED, GENERALLY REMAINING ABOVE 20%. THEREFORE, NO
