/ISSUED 1013 AM CST FRI DEC 01 2017/

..SYNOPSIS

A LARGELY ZONAL FLOW REGIME PERSISTS ACROSS THE CONUS, WITH LIMITED
MOISTURE/BUOYANCY GENERALLY PRECLUDING THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT.
ISOLATED LIGHTNING STRIKES WERE OBSERVED EARLIER THIS MORNING OFF
THE WA COAST, AND THE THREAT FOR ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS WILL
CONTINUE TODAY NEAR AND JUST OFF THE COAST IN ASSOCIATION WITH A
LEAD SHORTWAVE TROUGH AND WEAK BUOYANCY. OTHERWISE, THE THREAT FOR
CONVECTION DEEP ENOUGH TO PRODUCE LIGHTNING SHOULD REMAIN ALONG A
DIFFUSE FRONT OFF THE SOUTHEAST ATLANTIC COAST, WITH THUNDERSTORMS
NOT EXPECTED INLAND.
