DAY 3 CONVECTIVE OUTLOOK
NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
0101 AM CST MON DEC 04 2017

VALID 061200Z - 071200Z

..NO THUNDERSTORM AREAS FORECAST

..SUMMARY

THE RISK OF THUNDERSTORMS APPEARS FAIRLY LOW ACROSS THE CONTIGUOUS
UNITED STATES WEDNESDAY.

..DISCUSSION

BENEATH A MID/UPPER REGIME OF DEEP CYCLONIC FLOW, A COLD FRONT WILL
CONTINUE TO SWEEP ACROSS THE SOUTHEAST, REACHING THE COASTAL
CAROLINAS EARLY IN THE DAY AND ADVANCING DOWN THE FLORIDA PENINSULA
THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT. BEHIND THE FRONT, A STABLE, CONTINENTAL AIR
MASS WILL KEEP THE THUNDERSTORM RISK TO A MINIMUM. ALONG/AHEAD OF
THE FRONT, WEAK BUOYANCY MAY SUPPORT A LIGHTNING STRIKE OR TWO OVER
NORTHERN FLORIDA, BUT FORECAST SOUNDINGS SUGGEST MOST UPDRAFTS WILL
BE TOO WEAK FOR ADEQUATE CHARGE SEPARATION. THEREFORE, A
GENERAL-THUNDER AREA HAS NOT BEEN INCLUDED WITH THIS OUTLOOK.
