THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A  
 
* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF  
NORTHWESTERN ARKANSAS  
EASTERN OKLAHOMA  
 
* EFFECTIVE THIS MONDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM 335 PM UNTIL  
900 PM CST.  
 
* PRIMARY THREATS INCLUDE...  
ISOLATED DAMAGING WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH POSSIBLE  
ISOLATED LARGE HAIL EVENTS TO 1 INCH IN DIAMETER POSSIBLE  
A TORNADO OR TWO POSSIBLE  
 
SUMMARY...THUNDERSTORMS WILL INCREASE IN COVERAGE/INTENSITY THIS  
AFTERNOON INTO THIS EVENING AS A SURFACE COLD FRONT OVERTAKES A  
REMNANT DRYLINE. THE STORM ENVIRONMENT WILL FAVOR SOME POTENTIAL  
FOR SUPERCELLS THE FIRST FEW HOURS AFTER INITIATION, AND THEN GROWTH  
INTO A LINE ALONG THE COLD FRONT. DAMAGING WINDS WILL BE THE MAIN  
CONCERN, BUT ISOLATED LARGE HAIL AND/OR A BRIEF TORNADO WILL ALSO BE  
POSSIBLE.  
 
THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 55  
STATUTE MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 5 MILES NORTHEAST OF  
MONETT MO TO 40 MILES SOUTHEAST OF MCALESTER OK. FOR A COMPLETE
