CONTIGUOUS UNITED STATES TODAY.  
   
..SYNOPSIS
 
 
A POWERFUL MID- TO UPPER-LEVEL TROUGH OVER THE GREAT LAKES WILL  
PIVOT NORTHEASTWARD INTO QUEBEC DURING THE PERIOD AS A BELT OF VERY  
STRONG FLOW MOVES FROM THE OH VALLEY INTO PARTS OF THE LOWER GREAT  
LAKES AND ST. LAWRENCE VALLEY. IN THE LOW LEVELS, A SURFACE CYCLONE  
OVER THE UPPER GREAT LAKES WILL OCCLUDE AND MOVE TOWARDS JAMES BAY  
WHILE A COLD FRONT SWEEPS EASTWARD ACROSS THE NORTHEAST THROUGH THE  
APPALACHIANS AND INTO THE WESTERN AND NORTHERN PORTIONS OF THE GULF  
OF MEXICO. AS THE UPPER-LEVEL SYSTEM BECOMES INCREASINGLY DISPLACED  
FROM THE CENTRAL GULF COAST AND TN VALLEY, FORCING FOR ASCENT WILL  
WEAKEN OVER THESE AREAS AND CONVECTION WILL BECOME INCREASINGLY  
SHALLOW/WEAK ALONG THE FRONT DURING THE DAY.
