...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 545 PM EDT FOR  
CENTRAL RICHLAND COUNTY...  
 
AT 507 PM EDT, RADAR INDICATED THAT HEAVY RAIN HAD MOVED OUT OF THE  
WARNING AREA. HOWEVER, RUNOFF FROM PREVIOUS HEAVY RAINS WILL LEAD TO  
CONTINUED STREET FLOODING IN SOME AREAS IN THE NEAR TERM. LOCAL LAW  
ENFORCEMENT AND MEDIA REPORTS SEVERAL ROADS FLOODED AND CLOSED,  
GENERALLY IN THE VICINITY OF FIVE POINTS IN COLUMBIA, BLOSSOM ST,  
AND MAIN AND WHALEY ST, AND SOME OTHER LOCATIONS. AUTOMATED RAIN  
GAGES NEAR THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH CAROLINA, AND NEAR GILLS CREEK,  
MEASURED 1.5 TO 1.8 INCHES OF RAIN IN LESS THAN ONE HOUR. THIS,  
COMBINED WITH ALREADY SATURATED CONDITIONS FROM FLOODING THE  
PREVIOUS DAY, LED TO THE STREET FLOODING. MOTORISTS SHOULD USE  
CAUTION THIS EVENING.  
 
SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...  
COLUMBIA, FOREST ACRES, DENTSVILLE, WOODFIELDS, ST. ANDREWS, ARCADIA  
LAKES, FIVE POINTS, WOODFIELD AND FORT JACKSON.
