DISCUSSION

ABUNDANT LOW LEVEL MOISTURE CONTINUES TO SPREAD NORTH FROM THE
GULF THIS MORNING AHEAD OF AN APPROACHING COLD FRONT OVER NORTH
CENTRAL TEXAS. THIS FRONT WILL EDGE SLOWLY THROUGH THE NORTHWEST
HALF OF THE REGION TODAY THROUGH TONIGHT, ALLOWING WINDS TO VEER
FROM SOUTHWEST TO NORTHWEST DOWN ALONG AND JUST SOUTH OF THE I-20
CORRIDOR BEFORE THE FRONT STALLS EARLY TUESDAY MORNING. THIS WILL
LIKELY ALLOW SOUTHWEST FLOW TO PREVAIL ACROSS DEEP EAST TEXAS INTO
CENTRAL LOUISIANA WITH THE FRONT SLOWLY LIFTING BACK NORTH THROUGH
TUESDAY. FOG LOOKS LIKE A GOOD BET ON TUESDAY MORNING SOUTH OF THE
FRONT IN DEEP EAST TEXAS BEFORE WINDS INCREASE LATER ON TUESDAY.
RAIN CHANCES WILL REMAIN GENERALLY LOW WITH THIS RATHER WEAK FRONT
OVER THE NEXT 24-48 HOURS BEFORE THE NEXT WEATHER SYSTEM ARRIVES ON
WEDNESDAY WITH WIDESPREAD RAINFALL OVER THE ENTIRE REGION THROUGH
EARLY THURSDAY WITH THE NEXT FRONTAL PASSAGE.
