824 PM CDT FRI MAR 24 2017

SYNOPSIS

THE STRONG SURFACE PRESSURE GRADIENT THAT WAS IN PLACE
HAS NOW BEGUN TO SLOWLY WEAKEN THIS EVENING. WINDS HAVE GENERALLY
DECREASED ACROSS THE LAGUNA MADRE, HOWEVER HAZARDOUS MARINE
CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE FOR THE 0 TO 60 NM GULF WATERS TONIGHT.
MEANWHILE, A SERIES OF LOW PRESSURE SYSTEMS OVER THE PLAINS WILL
INTERACT WITH HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE EASTERN GULF AND PERIODICALLY
STRENGTHEN THE SURFACE PRESSURE GRADIENT THIS WEEKEND AND INTO
NEXT WEEK. THIS WILL LEAD TO STRONGER WINDS AND HIGHER SEAS AT
TIMES SUNDAY THROUGH THE MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK FOR ALL OR PORTIONS
OF THE LOWER TEXAS COASTAL WATERS.
