..WATERSPOUTS POSSIBLE TODAY OVER THE MIDDLE TEXAS COAST

A TROPICAL AIRMASS ALONG WITH LIGHT WINDS SEVERAL THOUSAND FEET
ABOVE THE SURFACE WILL BE CONDUCIVE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF
WATERSPOUTS TODAY. ALTHOUGH THESE WATERSPOUTS ARE GENERALLY NOT AS
STRONG AS CLASSIC TORNADOES...NEVERTHELESS THEY CAN BE DANGEROUS
AND SHOULD BE AVOIDED WHEN OUT ON THE WATERS. WATERSPOUTS CAN FORM
WITH WEAK SHOWERS AND DO NOT REQUIRE A THUNDERSTORM TO DEVELOP.

IF YOU SEE A WATERSPOUT...STAY OUT OF ITS PATH. MOVE AWAY FROM IT
AT RIGHT ANGLES TO THE WATERSPOUT OR SEEK SAFE HARBOR IF YOU ARE
CLOSE TO SHORE. WATERSPOUTS CAN EASILY FLIP SMALL CRAFT...AND
SHOULD BE AVOIDED AT ALL TIMES.
