THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A  
 
* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...  
NORTHERN VAL VERDE COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS...  
 
* UNTIL 530 AM CDT  
 
* AT 230 AM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING  
HEAVY RAIN ACROSS THE WARNED AREA. FLASH FLOODING IS EXPECTED TO  
BE ONGOING OR BEGIN SHORTLY. LOCALIZED AREAS ACROSS THE NORTHERN  
HALF OF THE COUNTY HAVE ALREADY EXPERIENCED MULTIPLE INCHES OF  
RAIN LIKELY RESULTING IN RURAL FLASH FLOODING. THE BULK OF THE  
RAIN WAS LOCATED IN RURAL AREAS BETWEEN PANDALE AND JUNO BUT MAY  
BE BEGINNING TO IMPACT PARTS OF HIGHWAY 163 WITH FLOOD WATERS.  
 
* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...  
JUNO...PANDALE...DEVILS RIVER STATE NATURAL AREA...  
HACKBERRY CROSSING AND BAKERS CROSSING.  
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...  
 
TURN AROUND...DON'T DROWN WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS. MOST FLOOD  
DEATHS OCCUR IN VEHICLES.  
 
EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL  
CREEKS AND STREAMS...COUNTRY ROADS...FARMLAND...AND OTHER LOW LYING  
SPOTS.  
 
FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT. IT IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW WHERE  
YOU ARE RELATIVE TO STREAMS...RIVERS...OR CREEKS WHICH CAN BECOME  
KILLERS IN HEAVY RAINS. CAMPERS AND HIKERS SHOULD AVOID STREAMS OR
