AND EASTERN WASHINGTON, INCLUDING OKANOGAN, FERRY, STEVENS, PEND  
OREILLE, CHELAN, DOUGLAS, GRANT, LINCOLN AND SPOKANE COUNTIES DUE TO  
LOCAL AND REGIONAL WILDFIRES CURRENTLY BURNING. MODERATE TO  
UNHEALTHY AIR IS EXPECTED IN GRANT AND ADAMS COUNTIES. AIR QUALITY  
IS EXPECTED TO DEGRADE ACROSS WHITMAN, GARFIELD AND ASOTIN COUNTIES  
BY TUESDAY INTO THE MODERATE TO UNHEALTHY FOR SENSITIVE GROUPS  
CATEGORY.  
 
CHILDREN, THE ELDERLY, AND INDIVIDUALS WITH RESPIRATORY ILLNESSES  
ARE MOST AT RISK OF SERIOUS HEALTH EFFECTS. IF YOU EXPERIENCE  
RESPIRATORY DISTRESS, YOU SHOULD SPEAK WITH YOUR PHYSICIAN.  
 
FIRE ACTIVITY WILL CONTINUE TO BE MONITORED FOR ADDITIONAL. SOME  
IMPROVEMENT IN VENTILATION WILL BE POSSIBLE TOWARD THE END OF THE

THE IDAHO DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY (DEQ) HAS ISSUED AN AIR  
QUALITY ADVISORY AND STAGE 1 AIR QUALITY FORECAST AND CAUTION TO  
NOTIFY RESIDENTS OF BENEWAH, BONNER, BOUNDARY, KOOTENAI AND SHOSHONE  
COUNTIES OF DEGRADED AIR QUALITY. DUE TO SMOKE FROM WILDFIRES AROUND  
THE WESTERN U.S. AND AREAS IN NORTH IDAHO AND IS FORECAST TO CONTINUE  
TO BE DEGRADED FOR THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS. THE POLLUTANT OF CONCERN IS  
FINE PARTICULATE MATTER (PM2.5).  
 
WHEN AIR QUALITY IS UNHEALTHY EVERYONE MAY BEGIN TO EXPERIENCE HEALTH  
EFFECTS. SENSITIVE GROUPS MAY EXPERIENCE MORE SERIOUS EFFECTS AND  
SHOULD AVOID PROLONGED/HEAVY EXERTION AND STAY INDOORS. EVERYONE  
ELSE SHOULD LIMIT TIME OUTDOORS.
