SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT ISSUED FOR..  
THE SOUTHWESTERN YUKON.  
 
AN INTENSE FRONTAL SYSTEM WILL APPROACH THE YUKON FROM THE SOUTHWEST  
TONIGHT AND MOVE ACROSS THE REGION ON SUNDAY BRINGING POTENTIALLY  
HEAVY SNOWFALLS TO THE MOUNTAIN PASSES. UP TO 25 CM OF TOTAL  
SNOWFALL IS CURRENTLY FORECAST FOR THE HAINES - SKAGWAY ROADS BY  
SUNDAY AFTERNOON. ADDITIONALLY..STRONG SOUTHEAST WINDS WILL DEVELOP  
OVER TO THE TOWNS OF WHITEHORSE AND BURWASH LANDING TONIGHT WITH  
WIND GUSTS UP TO 80 KM/H EXPECTED TO AFFECT BURWASH AND SLIGHTLY  
LESSER INTENSITIES IN WHITEHORSE.  
AS CONFIDENCE INCREASES IN THE PRECISE TRACK AND INTENSITY  
OF THIS STORM WEATHER WARNINGS MAY BE ISSUED FOR SNOWFALL IN THE  
PASSES AND FOR STRONG WINDS IN THE VALLEY BOTTOMS. PLEASE MONITOR  
THE LATEST FORECASTS FOR UPDATES AND POSSIBLE WEATHER WARNINGS.
