FRANKLIN COUNTY IN NORTHWESTERN ALABAMA...  
SOUTHWESTERN LAWRENCE COUNTY IN NORTHWESTERN ALABAMA...  
 
* UNTIL 400 AM CST.  
 
* AT 201 AM CST, DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED PERSISTENT HEAVY RAIN  
FALLING ACROSS THE WARNING AREA. BETWEEN 2 AND 3 INCHES OF RAIN  
HAVE FALLEN SINCE LATE MONDAY EVENING, AND WITH HEAVY RAIN  
EXPECTED TO CONTINUE FOR ANOTHER 1 TO 2 HOURS, FLASH FLOODING IS  
EXPECTED TO BEGIN SHORTLY.  
 
HAZARD...FLASH FLOODING CAUSED BY HEAVY RAIN.

IMPACT...FLOODING OF SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS, URBAN AREAS,  
HIGHWAYS, STREETS AND UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS OTHER  
DRAINAGE AND LOW LYING AREAS.  
 
* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...  
RUSSELLVILLE, RED BAY, PHIL CAMPBELL, TOWN CREEK, LITTLEVILLE,  
BELGREEN, VINA, HODGES, POSEY LOOP AND MT HOPE.  
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...  
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE  
DANGERS OF FLOODING.  
 
EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL  
CREEKS AND STREAMS, COUNTRY ROADS, FARMLAND, AND OTHER LOW LYING
