THE BARSTOW-DAGGETT AIRPORT RECORDED 1.76 INCHES OF RAIN THURSDAY.  
THIS SMASHED THE OLD RECORD FOR DECEMBER 26, WHICH WAS 0.43 INCH SET  
IN 1977.  
 
THIS WAS ALSO THE RECORD FOR THE MOST RAIN ON ANY DAY IN DECEMBER.  
THE OLD RECORD WAS 1.15 INCHES, SET ON DECEMBER 17, 2008.  
 
IN ADDITION, THIS WAS THE THIRD MOST RAIN EVER RECORDED IN A  
CALENDAR DAY, BEHIND ONLY 2.28 INCHES ON SEPTEMBER 10, 1976, AND  
2.06 INCHES ON AUGUST 7, 1958. RECORDS AT BARSTOW-DAGGETT GO BACK TO  
1943.
