FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR SOUTHWEST AND SOUTH-CENTRAL
ARIZONA AND SOUTHEAST CALIFORNIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PHOENIX AZ
211 AM MST THU JUL 2 2020

DISCUSSION

ISOLATED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE TODAY AND TOMORROW
ACROSS PORTIONS OF SOUTH-CENTRAL ARIZONA BUT ANY WETTING RAINS
WILL VERY LIMITED. ANY STORMS THAT DEVELOP CAN STILL PRODUCE
LIGHTNING STRIKES THAT COULD START NEW WILDFIRES, STRONG WIND GUSTS,
AND POTENTIALLY OUTFLOW WINDS. DAYTIME MINIMUM HUMIDITY VALUES
WILL DROP BETWEEN 10-20% FOR MOST AREAS WHILE OVERNIGHT RECOVERIES
MAY REACH THE 30-50% RANGE. OTHERWISE, WIND DIRECTIONS WILL FAVOR
LOCAL TERRAIN INFLUENCES WITH TYPICAL AFTERNOON BREEZINESS.

..THUNDERSTORMS IMPLY GUSTY WINDS
