THROUGH THE REMAINDER OF THE AFTERNOON AS THEY DRIFT NORTH AND  
NORTHEAST.  
 
MAIN CONCERNS...LOCALLY HEAVY RAINS WITH PONDING WATER POSSIBLE.  
MOTORISTS WILL ENCOUNTER VERY SLIPPERY ROAD CONDITIONS AS THIS  
WILL BE THE FIRST RAIN IN MONTHS FOR MANY OF THE AFFECTED AREAS  
WITH ACCUMULATED ROAD OIL ON THE STREET AND HIGHWAY SURFACES. SLOW  
DOWN!  
 
INTERSECTIONS, FREEWAY CLOVERLEAFS, BRIDGE DECKS AND CURVY  
SECTIONS OF ROADWAYS MAY BE PARTICULARLY TROUBLESOME AND RESULT  
IN LOSS OF TRACTION. INCREASE FOLLOWING DISTANCES FOR THE  
AFTERNOON CUMMUTE.  
 
WEATHER RADAR AT 225 PM...SHOWS MOST OF THE ACTIVITY EXTENDING  
ALONG AND SOUTHEAST OF A LINE FROM NEAR PLACERVILLE TO STOCKTON TO  
RIO VISTA. ACTIVITY WILL EXTEND NORTH AND BEGIN TO MOVE INTO THE  
SACRAMENTO METROPOLITAN AREA AFTER 245 PM.
