WEATHER SUMMARY FOR THE LOCAL TRI-STATE REGION

AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE ALONG WITH A COLD FRONT WILL ALLOW FOR  
CLOUDS TO INCREASE IN THE REGION TONIGHT WITH PERHAPS SOME SNOW  
FLURRIES OR A LIGHT SNOW SHOWER FOR EASTERN SECTIONS. BEHIND THE  
FRONT A REINFORCING SHOT OF SEASONABLY COLD AIR WILL MOVE INTO THE  
REGION FOR THE MID WEEK. THEREFORE, MAINLY DRY CONDITIONS AND  
SLIGHTLY BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES WILL CONTINUE THROUGH MUCH OF  
WEDNESDAY NIGHT.  
 
ON THURSDAY A WEAKENING AREA OF LOW PRESSURE WILL APPROACH FROM  
THE WEST. THIS WILL BRING THE SLIGHT CHANCE OF LIGHT SNOW OR SNOW  
FLURRIES TO THE REGION. TEMPERATURES WILL BEGIN TO RETURN TO  
NORMAL BY THURSDAY NIGHT, AND WILL CLIMB ABOVE NORMAL BY FRIDAY AS  
MILDER AIR BEGINS TO COME IN OFF THE OCEAN.  
 
WITH HIGH PRESSURE SETTLING JUST NORTH AND NORTHEAST OF THE REGION  
MAINLY DRY CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED FOR THURSDAY NIGHT INTO EARLY  
FRIDAY. BY LATE FRIDAY AND FRIDAY NIGHT UNSETTLED WEATHER IN THE  
FORM OF LIGHT RAIN WILL MOVE INTO THE REGION AS A STORM SYSTEM  
APPROACHES FROM THE MISSISSIPPI VALLEY AND NORTHERN GULF STATES.
