A MILD AND RAINY PATTERN IS ON TAP FOR SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND THIS  
WEEKEND AS AN UPPER LEVEL CLOSED LOW TO OUR WEST ROTATES A SERIES OF  
SURFACE LOW PRESSURE AREAS NEAR AND AROUND OUR REGION.  
 
FOR TODAY, NUMEROUS WIDESPREAD SHOWERS WILL SPREAD ACROSS THE  
REGION. SOUTHERLY BREEZES WILL CONTINUE AND BRING UNSEASONABLE  
WARMTH.  
 
WIDESPREAD SHOWERS COULD LINGER TONIGHT INTO EARLY SUNDAY, WITH THE  
FOCUS OVER EASTERN MASSACHUSETTS. TEMPERATURES WILL BE SLIGHTLY  
COOLER BUT STILL WARM DUE TO SOUTHERLY WINDS.  
 
RAINFALL TOTALS OF 0.75 TO 1.75 INCHES ARE FORECAST THROUGH SUNDAY.  
THIS WILL RESULT IN AREA MAIN STEM RIVER LEVELS SHOWING RISES OF 0.5  
TO AS MUCH AS 3.0 FEET BUT THEY WILL REMAIN BELOW FLOOD STAGE. THE  
LOWER CONNECTICUT RIVER AT HARTFORD AND MIDDLE SADDAM WILL REMAIN  
IN FLOOD THROUGH THE WEEKEND.  
 
THESE FORECASTS INCLUDE 24 HOUR PRECIPITATION FOR THE PERIOD ENDING  
AT 7 AM TODAY, AND FORECAST PRECIPITATION THROUGH 7 AM TOMORROW.
