DAILY RIVER AND LAKE SUMMARY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
1151 AM EDT TUE MAY 21 2019

..ALL RIVER FORECAST POINTS ARE WELL BELOW FLOOD STAGE

A WEAK FRONTAL BOUNDARY ACROSS THE FORECAST AREA WILL SLOWLY
DISSIPATE THROUGH WEDNESDAY AS HIGH PRESSURE RESTRENGTHENS OVER
THE REGION. MOSTLY DRY AND UNSEASONABLY WARM WEATHER WILL THEN
CONTINUE THROUGH SUNDAY.

THERE IS A SMALL CHANCE FOR AFTERNOON SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS
WEDNESDAY AS A MOIST ONSHORE FLOW INTERACTS WITH THE WEAK BOUNDARY
DURING THE WARMEST PART OF THE DAY. FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE PERIOD,
NO MORE THAN ISOLATED AFTERNOON SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE
EXPECTED DUE TO THE STRENGTH OF THE HIGH PRESSURE.

WITH ABOVE-NORMAL DAYTIME AND NIGHTTIME TEMPERATURES EXPECTED
THROUGH SUNDAY, MOST AREA RIVERS WILL EXPERIENCE MINOR FLUCTUATIONS
DRIVEN BY WATER RELEASES FROM HYDRO POWER-GENERATING STATIONS
UPSTREAM.
