WEATHER SYNOPSIS
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PADUCAH KY
131 PM CST FRI JAN 18 2019

A STRONG STORM SYSTEM WILL SPREAD RAIN, HEAVY AT TIMES, ACROSS
THE REGION TONIGHT INTO TOMORROW. A FEW RUMBLES OF THUNDER WILL
ALSO BE POSSIBLE. COLDER AIR WILL QUICKLY PLUNGE INTO THE REGION
ON BRISK NORTHERLY WINDS TOMORROW, CHANGING THE PRECIPITATION
OVER TO SNOW FROM NORTHWEST TO SOUTHEAST FROM LATE MORNING INTO
THE EARLY EVENING HOURS. SOME ACCUMULATION WILL BE POSSIBLE, AND
COMBINED WITH THE SHARPLY COLDER TEMPERATURES AND STRONG WINDS,
THERE MAY BE SOME TRAVEL IMPACTS. AFTER TEMPERATURES WARM INTO THE
40S AND 50S TOMORROW MORNING, A RUDE AWAKENING WILL BE FELT
SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY. HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL LIKELY STRUGGLE
TO CLIMB OUT OF THE 20S IN MOST AREAS ON SUNDAY. A GRADUAL
MODERATING TREND IS EXPECTED EARLY NEXT WEEK, WITH OUR NEXT CHANCE
FOR PRECIPITATION ON TUESDAY MAINLY BEING RAIN.
