...THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GRAND RAPIDS HAS ISSUED A FLOOD  
WARNING FOR THE FOLLOWING RIVERS IN SOUTHWEST LOWER MICHIGAN...  
 
LOOKING GLASS RIVER NEAR EAGLE AFFECTING CLINTON COUNTY  
 
.THE COMBINATION OF A SUSPECTED ICE JAM AND SNOWMELT HAS CAUSED WATER  
LEVELS TO RISE ABOVE FLOOD STAGE ALONG THE LOOKING GLASS RIVER NEAR  
EAGLE. RAPID CHANGES IN WATER LEVELS ARE POSSIBLE WITH LITTLE TO NO  
NOTICE. IF YOU LIVE ALONG THE LOOKING GLASS RIVER, YOU SHOULD MONITOR  
WATER LEVELS AT YOUR LOCATION AND PREPARE TO MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IF  
NECESSARY. A WINTRY MIX OF FREEZING RAIN AND SNOW TOMORROW MAY CHANGE  
OVER TO RAIN IN THE EVENING, BUT AMOUNTS WILL BE LIGHT AND CONTRIBUTE  
LITTLE TO RISING WATER LEVELS. ADDITIONAL SNOWMELT IS LIKELY THROUGH  
THE END OF THE WEEK AS TEMPERATURES RISE, AND WATER LEVELS WILL NEED  
TO BE MONITORED CLOSELY TO SEE IF THIS WARNING NEEDS TO BE EXTENDED.

PRECIPITATION.

YOU OFF YOUR FEET... AND A DEPTH OF 2 FEET WILL FLOAT YOUR CAR.  
NEVER TRY TO WALK... SWIM... OR DRIVE THROUGH SUCH SWIFT WATER. IF  
YOU COME UPON FLOOD WATERS... STOP... TURN AROUND AND GO ANOTHER WAY.

THE LOOKING GLASS RIVER NEAR EAGLE.  
* UNTIL WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON.  
* AT 12:45 PM TUESDAY THE STAGE WAS 7.1 FEET.  
* FLOOD STAGE IS 7.0 FEET.  
* MINOR FLOODING IS OCCURRING AND MINOR FLOODING IS FORECAST.  
* FORECAST, THE RIVER WILL CONTINUE RISING TO NEAR 8.0 FEET BY THIS  
EVENING. THE RIVER WILL FALL BELOW FLOOD STAGE TOMORROW MORNING.  
* IMPACT, AT 7.0 FEET...EXPECT MINOR FLOODING OF HOMES IN DEWITT AND  
ALONG THE RIVER BETWEEN DEWITT AND EAGLE. FLOODING OCCURS IN  
RIVERSIDE PARK IN DEWITT AND LOOKING GLASS VALLEY PARK IN WACOUSTA.  
* FLOOD HISTORY, THIS CREST COMPARES TO A PREVIOUS CREST OF 6.5 FEET
